The Compound Presents: The Limited Edition Tray

The unique partnership and collaboration of Kelly Gale Amen and John Palmer has produced a work designed to celebrate the fusion of nature and art in honor of the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park 2001. Amen and Palmer have been named Featured Artists for this Festival on March 23, 24, & 25th.

218The first from a series of collaboration and creative energy, the Amen/Palmer piece, “The Bayou Catfish”, is a limited edition, #5 of 72. Amen and Palmer are donating this artwork to the Bayou City Art Festivalfor auction. Bidding begins at $7900 with bids accepted now through the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park close on March 25, 2001.

All money from the sale of the tray will be donated to the Art Colony Association, Inc., producers of the Festival. The Art Colony Association donates all proceeds from the Festival to local Houston charities. (see Festival link)

One of the nation’s premier fine art festivals, the Bayou City Art Festival is nestled in Houston’s prestigious Memorial Park. Often referred to as an outdoor art gallery, this 2001 Festival will have an added dimension to its award winning style: the KGA Energy.

This year the KGA Compound in the Park will host the artwork of Amen and Palmer and feature the “Bayou Catfish” tray designed as the featured art of the 2001 Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park. This tray, as with all 72 in the edition, is from the furniture of cast metal of KGA and the creative painting of John Palmer. Each tray will be colored from the selection by the purchase of the tray and the collector for the color of the painting done by John Palmer.
