In a tremendous show of raw talent and teamwork, students from the Knowledge Is Power Program Houston (KIPP) joined staff from the Zina Garrison Academy (ZGA) under the artistic direction of Kelly Gale Amen for the first ever “ZGA Paint Day.”
The event celebrated a new partnership between the organizations and offered children a very unique opportunity to express themselves using tennis balls and paint. Artwork from “Paint Day” was later auctioned at the ZGA luncheon with selected pieces available for purchase on the Zina Garrison website. In addition to his work on “ZGA Paint Day,”
Kelly Gale Amen also extended his charitable support by adding the Zina Garrison Academy Bench to his collection of commemorative furniture pieces.
