2003 brought together the Living Out Loud installation – a declaration of independence, freedom, and love. In the aftermath of 9/11, New York City was engulfed by a state of fear, combined with liberty. People started facing their emotions and shame, and lived out loud, visibly in front of the world. The bold and vibrant colors of this installation honour that emotion, and pay tribute to the victims of 9/11.
