Remembering the KGA Wildflower Truck

If they are right, if life is indeed but a series of happy episodes, then our life at KGA Design is amongst the luckiest one can have. For we have been blessed with so many incredible events, events that are and remain memorable and forever engrained in our legacy.

One of these events is when we donated our Wildflower Truck to Houston’s Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The story of the truck is an emotional one, for it has been painted by one of the dearest friends of KGA Design. The model represents rebirth, for at that time both our brand and the artist were going through a period of incredible emotional and physical rebirth. After a pandemic, we could not think of anything better to evoke other than rebirth itself, for it is more than necessary!

When the truck was ready, we actually used it in one of Houston’s most famous parades. Oh, the acclaim, the love, and the joy the truck received. It was one of the brightest moments in KGA history, because people got to enjoy a KGA Product visually without being clients, without hiring our services, but simply by participating in a joyous event.

Certainly, after the parade, we wanted to pass the joy onwards. Inspired by the incredible work the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Centre does with anything botanical, our choice was more than easy. So we got in touch with them and arranged to donate the truck. In the photo, you can see a moment from the day of the donation. What a joy!

Nowadays, the truck is still at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and can be admired through a walk around their incredible gardens. This walk down memory lane would not be complete without an invitation. So we invite you to visit the center – it looks fabulous in the summer, in full bloom. And whenever you pass by the truck, remember to smile, to help the old machine fulfil its purpose one more time.

Thank you to the LBJWC for taking such good care of our beloved KGA artefact. By keeping it safe, you keep alive more than a machine. You keep alive a memory, a smile, a beautiful snippet of time.

Love,

KGA
