The Zina Garrison All Court Tennis Academy’s “Paint Day In The Park” With Kelly Gale Amen

Houston, TX : July 10, 2006

zina_garrison_logoOn July 10, 2006 Houston’s own designer extraordinaire Kelly Gale Amen brought “art in action” to the kids of the Zina Garrison Academy at Memorial Park. Young people from ages 4 – 17 threw tennis balls dipped in colorful paint at huge canvases to create their own works of art. These pieces will be auctioned off at the Zina Garrison Academy “Service with Love” Gala on October 28th, 2006.

The Zina Garrison Academy offers after-school and summer programs to children ages 4-18 years of age. In addition to offering tennis lessons for beginner players through students desiring to attain college scholarships, the Academy provides academic tutoring, physical fitness conditioning, nutrition instruction and guidance, life skills training, college prep assistance, and opportunities to participate in community service activities. This program is free of charge to any child in the Houston area.
